let’s walk the walk and make a positive difference together.

Did you know 85% of hospitality professionals experience poor mental health? Enough with the talking: let’s walk the walk and make a positive difference together.

Now a staple in the hospitality calendar, Walk for Wellbeing returns for a fifth year in October to promote wellbeing and better mental health in our industry, while raising vital funds for Hospitality Action. Last year saw over 800 people take part, raising over £100,000! Can we beat that in 2024…?

Join one of several 20km Challenges taking place in London, Bath/Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool or Glasgow on Sunday 13 October 2024. Or walk it your way by getting outdoors and walking any distance, anywhere, anytime, between Thursday 10 October (World Mental Health Day) and Sunday 27 October.

It’s free to sign up and all money raised will help Hospitality Action support our industry peers facing challenging times – from physical illness or poor emotional health to financial difficulty, family problems to addiction – and promote better wellbeing across our industry. Hospitality Action’s inspiring work includes delivering in-person and phone counselling sessions; providing emergency grants to put food on the table; easing the pressure of rising food and fuel costs for those households forced to choose between heating and eating; and clearing arrears for households at immediate risk of homelessness, providing essential relief, security and ultimately improved wellbeing.

“Walk for Wellbeing has grown into one of our most important and successful fundraisers, but equally crucial is what a positive experience it is for every single participant.,” says Mark Lewis, CEO of Hospitality Action. “We can’t wait to grow the event even more and we’re excited to welcome even more of the industry aboard in 2024.”

Launched by mum founder Craig (Patron for Hospitality Action) back in 2020, Walk for Wellbeing has since become one of Hospitality Action’s flagship annual events running in partnership with mum, demonstrating our commitment to giving back

“The essence of Walk for Wellbeing is uniting people to champion better mental health and wellbeing in hospitality while fundraising for Hospitality Action, whose efforts are increasingly vital. With ongoing support from many the event has expanded annually, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together again this year.”
