mum founder shortlisted for a 2024 springboard award for excellence.

What do you get when you gather hospitality superstars from across the UK and Ireland in one room? A buzzing atmosphere. A cup overflowing with inspiration. And – for us here at mum – renewed enthusiasm to keep striving towards our vision of making hospitality a better place to be, knowing we’re in great company along the way…

To what did we owe this celebration? The 2024 Springboard Awards for Excellence, which took place on Thursday 11th April at the InterContinental Park Lane. We joined some of our most admired industry peers to recognise those who’ve gone above and beyond to grow their organisation, look after their people, and champion the industry.

We’re proud to say our founder Craig was shortlisted for the Community Engagement Award. And he was in good company: other nominees in the category included Aurora Foxes, DoubleTree by Hilton London ExCel, and Sodexo. They were among 50 hospitality businesses and individuals shortlisted across 17 categories from a record 200 entries and nominations of an “exceptionally high standard,” according to the judges.

“To be shortlisted for a Springboard Award for Excellence is a mark of hospitality brilliance,” said Chris Gamm, chief executive of Springboard. “The awards are a fantastic opportunity to come together and commend our top businesses and people, showcasing their successes and hugely talented workforces. Yet again, the awards have grown, and the stunning InterContinental Park Lane is the perfect setting for us all to gather, raise a glass and celebrate our incredible industry.”

We’d like to congratulate the team at Aurora Foxes for winning this year’s Community Engagement Award – an inspiring initiative and a well-deserved victory.

We can’t wait to see what our incredible industry serves up for next year’s entries… We, for one, have some exciting projects we look forward to sharing – keep an eye on mum’s Journal, LinkedIn and Instagram to be the first to know more!
