mum founder recognised at the caterer’s inaugural people awards.

The Caterer’s inaugural People Awards and Network event on November 5 at London’s One Moorgate Place brought together industry leaders dedicated to transforming people and workplace culture in hospitality.

This inspirational event featured inspiring and thought-provoking keynotes, workshops, and discussions, followed by an awards ceremony celebrating those at the forefront of people and workplace excellence.

We’re delighted to share mum founder Craig Prentice was presented with the Extra Mile Award in recognition of his commitment and work with Hospitality Action, most notably the creation of Walk for Wellbeing, a nationwide mental health and wellbeing initiative, in support of the charity.

Mark Lewis, Chief Executive of Hospitality Action, who presented Craig with the award said

“Craig’s vision, tenacity and generosity of both spirit and time have made Walk for Wellbeing a national movement with events in nine UK cities. He has created a fundraising mega-brand securing acres of coverage, tens of partnerships and tens of thousands of pounds in sponsorship from an industry keen to create a positive and caring atmosphere.”

Craig added “I am extremely humbled to be presented with the Extra Mile award, for my work with Hospitality Action and Walk for Wellbeing.

Receiving this award is a huge personal achievement and milestone and feels particularly special as the cause and charity are so close to my heart.

Congratulations to all fellow award nominees and winners, special congratulations must go to my friend Sean Wheeler, who received an Outstanding Contribution Award in recognition of his 40-year career and positive contribution to hospitality.”
